Moving forward

Gold NI-W810CSNSJ

This week Jake started his transition to the next room up at daycare. He's now a big boy in nursery three! He is settling in well and talks non stop from the time he gets picked up (he'sin care Mon-Wed) until he goes to bed.

Tilly is 8 weeks old today. She's discovered her hands and will suck on them all day long. She has also been hitting the hanging toy on her playmat. She's growing up so fast! She's also moved into 000 clothes!

Favourite things at the mo:
- watching Jake kiss Tilly and call her baby girl
- playing 'pretend' games with Jake. He loves to go to the pretend shops with his pretend money to buy pretend chips.
- locking eyes with Tilly and watching her bust into a massive smile.

random Fact: Jake will eat just about anything if it can be dipped in a sauce of any description.

I'm.going to make it my aim.to update this blog as much as possible. It might mean every day or every week. I'm not sure yet. It depends on how much time the two ferrets allow ;)

Jake turns two this month (where on earth did that time go?) And Tilly is already 7 weeks old. She's started smiling and I've even heard a chuckle (this happened during a burping session after a night feed so it might have just been lack of sleep playing tricks on me). She's super attentive and I'm loving our 'conversations' that involve a lot of goose and gaahs. For the last 2 days she can for for more then 10 minutes without being held. Believe me, it's a minor miracle!

Jake is a ratbag.  His latest saying is 'I won't'. It's going to get old very quickly. He's taken to giving his teddy bear some 'tucker' (breast feeding!) And even remembers to pull his top down! He's had a language explosion while josh was off work (when Tilly was born) and I'm absolutely loving the communication now. He's such a funny little man.

Firsts

A few friends have started their own blogs and while I enjoy reading them, I've never had the inclination (nor motivation) to start one myself. Until now.
I have two beautiful children, Jake and Matilda, and it was only today that I realised just how much I forget about them if I don't write it down. I'm not talking about forgetting things like their names, or where I've left them, but things like when they first smiled, or when they started STTN (that's sleeping through the night for those who have the fortune of not having a clue what I mean).

So I don't lose the many happy memories and moments that these incredible  creatures provide, and so I can pass on these stories to my kiddliwinks, this is for you two, the most crazy, loveable and adorable little people that I know. Xx
